For the first time ever STCW Basic Safety refresher training is offered exclusively online via e-learning. The courses are developed by SQLearn and approved by the Liberian Registry STCW Basic Training courses online are accepted by most flags worldwide. Online STCW courses are offered for seafarers, cruise ship and yacht crews.

• Personal Survival Techniques, Reg A-VI/1 Par 2.1.1.1
• Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Reg A-VI/1 Par 2.1.1.2
• Elementary First Aid, Reg AVI/1 Par 2.1.1.3
• Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, Reg AVI/1 Par 2.1.1.4
  and the online STCW course
• Security Awareness Training for all seafarers, Reg AVI/6 /6.1

The certificate that is issued upon course completion allows seafarers to renew their Basic Safety Special Qualification Certificate anywhere provided STCW Code and Flag Administration requirements have been met. Seafarers that have successfully completed the courses (already having been previously certified once in Basic STCW training), can submit the SQLearn certificate for issuance of their Liberian Basic Safety Special Qualification Certificate.

The innovation is pending two more Registry approvals, hence allowing the majority of the worlds’ seafarers to sustain and advance their careers anytime, anyplace, and with lesser costs.
