SQLearn proudly announces its collaboration with the large tanker company Euronav, providing e-learning courses from its Dolphin Library and Dolphin System for the EURONAV Ship Management Hellas & SAS operating fleet of 52 vessels.
Focused on providing new methods, technologies, and interactive learning solutions, SQLearn proceeds with designing and developing Virtual Reality applications, in order to transform training into a lifelike experience. SQLearn, as part of its Dolphin Platforms, has opened up this fascinating world by creating Real Dolphin, that combines virtual reality technology with innovative e-learning resources.
SQLearn designed a library of interactive e-learning courses that covers the training needs of the shipping companies and provides a modern way to improve safety for maritime. The e- learning courses are based on STCW topics that cover national, international and flag requirements.
The vivid experiences created using virtual reality technology offer unsurpassed scenario-based training opportunities. Now easily deployable at sea or on land, seafarers can play “serious games” with an autonomous device that generates interactive games designed to achieve specific training goals.
When maritime incidents occur the responses include mainly regulation and identification of training needs. However, the human factor should also be addressed in a continuous effort to decrease human error in the maritime sector.
Cyber security: the basic prerequisite for the protection of the smooth operation of each shipping company can now be secured through SQLearn’s new e-learning courses.
