SQLearn’s e-learning system and CBT modules in the Merchant Marine Academy of Epirus and Ionian Islands!
The e-Learning system that SQLearn provides free of charge for the next three years to all ten Merchant Marine Academies (MMA) in Greece, within the content of the cooperation with the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy was presented on Thursday 15th of March 2018 in the MMA of Epirus in Preveza and on Friday 16th of March 2018 in the MMA of Ionian Islands in Argostoli.
The e-learning platform https://aen.sqlearn.com has already been presented in the MMAs in Chios (25/1), in Aspropyrgos (14/2) and in Kymi (27/2) and the rest of the MMAs will follow.
The presentation of the system took place in the presence of the Director of Marine Training of Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy Stylianos Bellas, the representatives of the SQLearn and Theta Marine Consulting, which provided the primary material, directors, professors of the MMAs and officials.
During the presentation, Mr. Bellas talked about the importance of this e-learning programme for the continuing training of seafarers in order to be well prepared for their future careers. Moreover, he emphasized that the platform is a digital tool that boosts the learning procedure.
Through the platform, which SQLearn has developed in cooperation with Theta Marine Consulting, students can attend digital courses that cover international, national and flag requirements and include topics in the fields of safety, technical subjects, incident reports (lessons learnt) and other. SQLearn’s solutions for e-learning, the learning management system and the e-learning courses are certified by ABS (American Bureau of Shipping).
